From the 22nd - the 28th of January

Benicarló is a small sea side town in the north east of Spain and is famous for almost two centuris due to one small vegetable: its Artichoke! Actually this artichoke is so unique in taste and quality that it has been awared with the "Designation of Origin" seal. Each year at the end of January, following the Saint Antony celebration, this little town celebrates the Alcachofa de Benicarlo' - The Artichoke Festival of Benicarló.

At the end of September over 10.000 cheese lovers from across the UK gather on the lawns below Cardiff Castle to celebrate the variety and quality of Great British cheeses.
